New dormakaba CenconX OTC Safe Lock Launched – dormakaba introduced CenconX at ISC West, a keyless safe lock system designed to streamline and secure cash-in-transit (CIT) and ATM operations.
CenconX, which took out a best product award at ISC, uses encrypted mobile device technology to provide safe access via dormakaba’s Safe Lock Mobile App, managed centrally through local software. The system meets UL Type 1 certification standards and is described by dormakaba as its most advanced one-time code (OTC) lock system to date.
CenconX removes the need for physical keys and written route sheets by enabling app-driven access and centralized credential management. Audit data is captured automatically with each opening and made available in near real time. The system eliminates the requirement for third-party apps and supports lock commissioning and service transfer without the need for technician visits. Users can remotely cancel and reissue OTC codes via the management software.
Technical specifications include an OLED display with tamper-evident options, and lock types including dead bolt and swing bolt. Power can be supplied via dual 9V batteries, AC, or line power. The system supports up to 50 bank mode users and 50 OTC mode users, with duress options available on both mobile devices and the lock itself. An audit capacity of 6000 events is stored locally within the lock, with export available via USB.
Software requirements include Windows 10 or 11 operating systems, SQL 2019 or higher, DNS server or DHCP infrastructure, and deployment on a local workstation. Integration with external systems is supported via API and SDK, while the Safe Lock mobile app is available for both iOS and Android platforms.
CenconX applications span financial institutions operating ATMs, cash safes, and CIT operations, as well as independent ATM operators, Bitcoin ATMs, cash recyclers, and smart safes in retail environments.
