New i-PRO U-Series PTZ – i-PRO’s WV-U65302-Z2 PTZ camera sits at the top of the new U-series range, combining full HD imaging with long-range zoom, strong low light performance and embedded analytics in an IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X-rated package.
At its core is a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor delivering 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, supported by a 21x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 4.0–84.6mm. Operationally, this gives the camera a wide horizontal field of view of up to 77 degrees at the wide end, tightening to 3.7 degrees at the long end, allowing operators to move from situational overview to detail using the same camera view.
In terms of performance, the camera delivers up to 144dB of wide dynamic range using i-PRO’s Super Dynamic processing, maintaining detail in high contrast scenes such as entrances, transport environments and outdoor public spaces. Intelligent Auto dynamically adjusts exposure, contrast and noise reduction in real time, supporting consistent image quality across changing conditions.
Low light performance is a core strength, with colour imaging down to 0.001 lux in extended exposure modes and 0.015 lux in standard operation. Black and white performance drops to 0.0004 lux, supporting usable imagery in near-dark conditions.
The pan and tilt mechanism is designed for high duty cycle environments, with a gear-driven system rated for approximately 3.7 million movements. This is supported by 360-degree endless panning and tilt range from -15 to +195 degrees, with preset speeds up to 500 degrees per second, allowing rapid repositioning across large scenes.

Up to 8 privacy zones and detection areas can be configured, supporting compliance and targeted monitoring.
According to i-PRO, detection performance extends to more than 1.2km at full zoom, with DORI recognition and identification performance scaling depending focal length and on scene conditions.
The platform supports H.265, H.264 and JPEG streaming, with multi-stream capability and Smart Coding to optimise bandwidth usage. Network connectivity is via standard Ethernet, with support for IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, secure transmission and up to 14 simultaneous users. Edge recording is supported via microSD cards up to 512GB, with alarm-triggered recording, backup on network failure and event-based notification.
Device and cyber security is a defining feature of the U-series, with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified hardware and device certificates pre-installed via GlobalSign. This positions the camera for use in government, critical infrastructure and other high security environments where device integrity and encrypted communication are required.
The i-PRO U-Series PTZ is housed in an IP66 and IK10-rated enclosure, with NEMA 4X compliance, supporting operation in harsh outdoor conditions from -30C to +55C. Power options include PoE, PoE+ and 12VDC, with consumption up to approximately 18.4W under PoE+.
The WV-U65302-Z2 is part of a broader U-series PTZ lineup that includes models such as the WV-U65302-Z2G, offering variations in low light performance and dome finish. The range also includes lower zoom variants, providing flexibility in matching camera capability to application requirements.
