Department of Communities and Justice, Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW), has released an advance notice on its RFI for drone detection and counter drone technologies.
According to the notice, CSNSW will soon be publishing an RFI seeking information in relation to technologies available in the market to mitigate the threat drones pose to the safety and security of correctional centres.
CSNSW is responsible for the state’s prisons, a juvenile detention centre, and a range of programs for managing offenders in the community. With a staff of 6000 and around 14,000 inmates, CSNSW has an annual budget of $A1 billion.
