Important Qualities

Interpersonal Skills & Self Confidence: Interpersonal skills are a valuable characteristic of a sales engineer, both for maintaining relationships and communicating to customers and other members of the OpenEye team. Self-confidence is important when meeting with customers to provide updates or proposals for the course of the project.

Problem Solving and Technological Skills: Problem solving is a pivotal characteristic of a sales engineer, with the ability to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns, and then recommend solutions. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the technologically sophisticated products used in the video surveillance and physical security industry, in order to explain their advantages and answer questions.
