OpenEye Showing Cloud Video AI Search And Deterrence At SecTech NZ This June.

OpenEye Showing Cloud Video AI Search And Deterrence – OpenEye to show cloud video, AI search and deterrence at SecTech NZ this June.

OpenEye will be on show at SecTech New Zealand in June, with a focus on cloud video, AI-driven search and alerting, and active deterrence tools designed to support day-to-day operations across distributed sites.

The company will exhibit at Eden Park in Auckland on June 9, Hnry Stadium in Wellington on June 11 and Te Pae in Christchurch on June 16.

At the core of the offering is OpenEye Web Services (OWS), with recent development focused on improving search, alerting and operational visibility.

AI Visual Search allows operators to query video using natural language, returning relevant events without the need to manually review footage or configure detailed filters. The intent is to reduce investigation time and improve access to recorded data.

AI Visual Check extends this by assessing camera scenes and generating alerts when defined conditions are not met. Alerts include context, image references and summaries, allowing operators to understand events quickly and respond as required. The system can be configured around operational priorities, including site condition, activity levels and access control points.

OpenEye is also expanding its cloud camera range, including 5MP turret and dome models and a 12MP fisheye. These cameras support direct-to-cloud operation, allowing remote access and scalable deployment without reliance on traditional on-site recording infrastructure.

Active deterrence is integrated into the platform, combining white light illumination and audio response to draw attention to activity as it occurs. The system can trigger automatically based on analytics or escalate events to operators depending on defined thresholds. Multi-region analytics support more targeted detection, reducing unnecessary alerts while allowing critical events to be prioritised.

The platform includes intelligent video monitoring functions designed to reduce false alarms and streamline operations. Features such as location-based arming, scheduling and analytics-driven alerting allow systems to be tuned to site-specific requirements.

Traffic counting is also supported through AI line-crossing analytics, enabling tracking of occupancy, movement patterns and peak activity periods across multiple entrances. Data visualisation tools allow trends and anomalies to be analysed, with additional support for integrating event data such as point-of-sale transactions.
