Optic Secures Anyinginyi Health

♦ Optic Secures Anyinginyi Health – Optic Security Group’s Darwin team recently secured a contract to work alongside Norbuilt and Harrison Electrical to deliver Dahua and Inner Range electronic security solutions to Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation.

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) provides primary health care services to Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and 4 small communities in the Northern Territory’s Barkly Region.

Optic Security Group will deliver a Dahua CCTV system and Inner Range Integriti access control system as part of a new fit-out. A CAT-6a shielded cabling solution will be backed by a 20-year manufacturer’s certification.

The systems will be integrated with existing AHAC systems and configured to enable multi-site management. Importantly, they will be installed to ensure maximum durability in an environment marked by distinct wet and dry seasons and an average of 22 days per year exceeding 40C.

“I’m proud of the commitment of our Darwin and Alice Springs teams to this region,” says Mark Lloyd, Optic Security Group’s managing director, ANZ. “Reliable, fit-for-purpose security systems enable critical service providers like AHAC to get on with their important work with a minimum of loss and disruption.”

Optic has assisted several remote health clinics throughout the Top End with their security and communications requirements. The team was recently awarded a Northern Territory Government tender to design and upgrade the wireless duress system at the Gunbalanya Health Clinic in West Arnhem Land with an Integriti security system.

Established in 1984, the work of AHAC is focused on relieving the poverty, sickness, disempowerment, serious social and economic disadvantage, and dysfunction that affect the Aboriginal population of the Barkly Region.

It’s a big region. AHAC provides services to over 7500 people in a service delivery area that stretches almost 150,000 square kilometres north of Tennant Creek to Elliott, eastward almost to the Queensland border, and south to Ali Curung.
