Pacom distributing Panasonic

Caption: Mr Masato Sato, (Director of
Panasonic Security & Sound Business unit) visited Australia in February to
present (Robert Meachem, General Manager Pacific Communications) with a
commemorative I-Pro PTZ as a symbol of the new partnership between the two companies.

“Panasonic looks forward to working
closely with our business partner Pacom in the CCTV area as we move to this new
stage in growing the segment,” said Mark Deere-Jones, director, Panasonic
Business Systems Group, Panasonic Australia.

“Panasonic offers leading edge,
high-quality product in this area. We are committed to supporting this exciting
market segment in the future and plan to introduce new IP solutions which
complement the current range.”

Meanwhile, with more than 35 years
operational experience in Australia, Pacom is regarded as an innovative and
leading provider of CCTV solutions in the region. The company’s specialised
sales and engineering staff provide customers with design solutions and product
engineering support from simple applications up to the most complex of systems.

“We believe that this new relationship
will foster further growth for both businesses and enhance the security
products and services available to Panasonic customers,” said Robert Meachem,
General Manager of Pacom.

Panasonic CCTV products were previously
distributed by Rexel Video Systems/GEC which has provided strong support to
Panasonic and its customers during a 30-year relationship.

Panasonic security products distributed
in Australia by Pacom include the i-Pro range of IP network surveillance
cameras which enable remote surveillance while enabling lower total cost of
ownership (TCO).

Across the range, the company offers a
lineup that includes world class SDIII technology, IP/network and analog
cameras, from dome to waterproof day/night models; network recorders that can
capture data simultaneously from multiple cameras; network video servers; and
matrix switchers for large systems.
