Panasonic cameras to keep watch over Beijing Olympic venues

PANASONIC will install 2,000 surveillance cameras at
various venues used during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Panasonic has been
an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the audio and video equipment category
since The Olympic Partner (TOP) program started for the Calgary Olympic Winter
Games and Seoul Olympic Games in 1988.

The company says its Super Dynamic III color pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z)
cameras will help ensure security at venues such as the Int’l Broadcasting
Centre and Fencing Hall at the National Convention Center, Laoshan Velodrome in
Beijing, and Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium in Tianjin City.
