WESTERN Australia Police Force has released a quick-fire RFT for the replacement of the VMS supporting the 250-camera surveillance solution at the Perth Police Complex.
Built by BGC and opened in 2013, the $A93 million Perth Police Centre houses up to 500 police officers and support staff, and is the biggest WA Police capital works project ever undertaken. The complex is fitted with an extensive integrated CCTV solution of more than 250 cameras, including multiple external PTZs, and has a 24-hour control room to manage access to and from the Perth Watch House, which can hold up to 72 people overnight.
The centre is also home to a range of specialist units including the District Crime Team, Central Metropolitan Detectives, Traffic Unit, District Forensic Investigation Office, Crime and Intelligence Coordination Unit, Family Protection Unit and Community Policing Unit.
