Perth Police Complex Seeks VMS Replacement

WESTERN Australia Police Force has released a quick-fire RFT for the replacement of the VMS supporting the 250-camera surveillance solution at the Perth Police Complex.

Built by BGC and opened in 2013, the $A93 million Perth Police Centre houses up to 500 police officers and support staff, and is the biggest WA Police capital works project ever undertaken. The complex contains the Perth Police Station, the Central Metropolitan District Office, the new Perth Watch House and the Northbridge Magistrate’s Court.

The Perth Police Centre is 4 storeys high over a single level basement and has a gross floor area of 17,681 sqm. The complex is fitted with an extensive integrated CCTV solution of more than 250 cameras, including multiple external PTZs, and has a 24-hour control room to manage access to and from the Perth Watch House, which can hold up to 72 people overnight.

The centre is also home to a range of specialist units including the District Crime Team, Central Metropolitan Detectives, Traffic Unit, District Forensic Investigation Office, Crime and Intelligence Coordination Unit, Family Protection Unit and Community Policing Unit.

The tender closes on February 7 and there was a tender briefing today, January 19. Contact Security Consulting Group’s Des Doherty on (08) 9468 2213 or email ddoherty@securityconsultinggroup.com.au
