QEII Hospital CCTV Access Upgrade Tender Released In Half Billion Upgrade.
QEII Hospital CCTV Access Upgrade – A tender for an upgrade to the access control and CCTV systems at QEII Hospital in Brisbane has been released by Metro South Hospital and Health Service.
Around 140 more beds will be delivered on Brisbane’s southside in an $A465 million major expansion of the QEII Hospital as part of the Queensland Health and Hospitals Plan – the largest investment in new hospitals and new beds in the state’s history.
According to the QEII Hospital CCTV access upgrade tender, the scope of works is 40 per cent access control, 40 per cent CCTV and 20 per cent construction and maintenance services – looking at the details, these latter seem to relate to door hardware. The hospital first opened in 1980 and there have been partial site upgrades since then, which is bound to make this an entertaining application.
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is presently a medium-sized metropolitan adult facility of around 250 beds, providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services and a 24-hour emergency department. The hospital is supported by local Community Health Centres at Eight Mile Plains, Mount Gravatt, Corinda and Inala. The hospital has around 1000 staff and treats around 35,000 patients a year which will significantly increase to provide for the planned 400 beds.
The QEII Hospital CCTV Access Upgrade tender closes on Monday, June 5 at 10am – you can direct enquiries to Hassan Morshed at Hassan.Morshed@health.qld.gov.au – note that prospective tenderers need to be logged in to download the copious documents and you can wrestle with all of that here or read more SEN news here.
