Queenstown Lakes District Council Seeks CCTV, Security Services, Including Monitoring And Patrols.

Queenstown Lakes District Council Seeks CCTV, Security – Queenstown Lakes District Council has released a request for proposals for security and CCTV services. Council is seeking a Queenstown-based provider capable of delivering physical security services and round-the-clock monitoring of a very large video surveillance solution.

The CCTV systems services component focuses on the hosting, management, and support of multiple CCTV platforms. The contractor must be familiar with Hikvision cameras and associated back-end platforms and operating systems. A core requirement is maintaining full operational availability of a CCTV system comprising approximately 450 devices, ensuring systems are functional and recording continuously. The scope also includes the management of cloud storage platforms and the delivery of safe and secure CCTV operations on a 24 x 7 basis.

Under the security services component, the successful contractor will also be required to deliver mobile patrols including scheduled rounds, lock-up duties, investigation callouts, and first response activities. The scope also includes the provision of static guards for council events and cash collection services. These requirements reflect the council’s need for visible security coverage and responsive on-the-ground capability in a district that experiences high visitor volumes and frequent public events.

The tender is being run through GETS using split file responses, with pricing and non-price submissions to be lodged separately. The council has indicated that this structure should be considered when preparing submissions, signalling separation between commercial terms and technical or operational capability during evaluation.

Queenstown Lakes District Council is responsible for a geographically large and operationally complex district, encompassing Queenstown, Wanaka, Arrowtown, and surrounding communities in one of New Zealand’s most vibrant tourism regions. The council manages a wide range of public assets, facilities, and public spaces that support tourism, residents, transport activity, and major events.
