Rugged Pelco ExSite Pro Bullet – Pelco’s ExSite Pro Bullet is an explosion-proof fixed camera designed for deployment in hazardous and industrial environments requiring certified protection against ignition risk, along with integrated analytics and high-resolution imaging.
The camera is certified for explosion-proof and dust-ignition-proof operation, supporting deployment in oil and gas, chemical processing, mining and other high-risk sites. It meets global hazardous area standards including ATEX, IECEx and UL, supporting use in Zone 2 gas and Zone 21 dust environments.
Environmental protection extends beyond hazardous certification, with the camera rated to IP66, IP67, IP68 and IPX9K, along with NEMA 4X compliance and IK10 impact resistance. The unit is designed to operate across a temperature range of -40C to +65C, supporting installation in extreme climates and exposed outdoor locations.

Imaging performance is based on an 8MP sensor delivering up to 4K Ultra HD resolution, with multiple stream configurations. Wide dynamic range reaches up to 144dB, supporting operation in high-contrast industrial scenes, including areas with strong backlight or mixed lighting conditions.
Low-light performance is supported by integrated IR illumination, with a maximum range of up to 70m in telephoto view and 30m in wide view. The ExSite Pro Bullet operates to 0 lux in monochrome mode with IR enabled, and down to 0.006 lux without IR, supporting visibility in unlit environments.
Optically, the camera incorporates a motorised lens with a 4.4 to 9.3mm focal range, supporting remote zoom and focus adjustment. Field of view ranges from 47 to 109 degrees horizontally, depending on configuration. This range makes it ideal for medium-sized applications.
AI capability is delivered through built-in analytics supporting object detection and classification for people and vehicles, along with behavioural analytics including loitering, line crossing, direction violation, object presence and crowd monitoring. The system supports detection of abnormal crowd growth and unusual activity, enabling operators to respond to emerging risks in real time.
Additional functions include tamper detection, motion detection and privacy masking across up to 64 zones. Analytics events can be integrated into VMS platforms for alarm generation and workflow automation.

Video is encoded using H.264, H.265 and MJPEG, with multi-stream support and bandwidth optimisation via smart compression. Onboard storage is supported via dual microSD slots with capacity up to 1.5TB.
Cybersecurity is handled through secure boot, signed and encrypted firmware, HTTPS encryption and 802.1X authentication, with hardware-based security supported by an onboard TPM and FIPS 140-3 compliance.
The ExSite Pro Bullet supports ONVIF Profiles S, G, T and M, enabling integration with third-party video management systems. It also supports Pelco’s Elevate direct-to-cloud architecture, allowing camera-to-cloud connectivity and remote firmware and health management.
In terms of construction, the unit uses a polycarbonate and aluminium construction with a stainless-steel sunshield and is designed for corrosion resistance in industrial environments. Power is supplied via PoE, PoE+ or auxiliary DC, with redundant power support enabling failover without interrupting operation.
