Salto Neoxx G4 Access Control Padlock – Salto’s rugged IP68 Neoxx G4 electronic padlock pushes electronic access control to gates, storage areas and infrastructure areas where keyed padlocks with no reporting have traditionally been used.
The Neoxx G4 is built around a hardened steel padlock with a double-layered armoured case designed to protect the electronics from falls, shocks and harsh operating conditions. Salto specifies EN16864:2018 Grade 4 mechatronic attack resistance, while the enclosure is rated IP68 for protection against dust and water.

A padlock that reports. Four LR1 alkaline cells are rated for 130,000 operations with battery status monitoring, so a remote gate that opens ten times a day is a once-a-decade battery job on paper, and the platform tells you before it isn’t.

The padlock supports RFID, Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC, allowing users to operate it with compatible smart cards or iOS and Android smartphones. Communication between the credential and electronic padlock is encrypted and secured. The Neoxx G4 is also capable of operating with Salto SVN and BLUEnet wireless technologies and is compatible with Salto Space and Salto KS platforms.
How a padlock on a gate reportsThree ways to connect it, from no infrastructure to fully onlineThe release lists SVN, BLUEnet, Salto Space and Salto KS in one breath. They are different answers to the same question: how does an electronic padlock on a remote gate get its rights and give up its events?
Salto Virtual NetworkNo cabling or gateway at the gate. The card is updated at an online wall reader elsewhere on site and carries new rights, blacklists and the padlock’s events back and forth. Suits a compound with one powered entry point and many remote padlocks.Works with Salto Space
BLUEnet wirelessThe padlock talks by RF to a Salto gateway or node within range, so it behaves as an online lock: remote opening, immediate credential cancellation and live events. The gateway needs power and a network path.Works with Salto Space
Salto KS cloudManaged from a browser with no on-premise server. The padlock is reached over Bluetooth Low Energy or NFC from a phone, or through a Salto IQ hub where one is installed. Suits multi-site operators who want one login for every gate.Works with Salto KS

The G4 is available with a 50mm shackle, including versions with a removable shackle, while Australian Wesco Anixter listings include configurations supporting HID iClass and JustInMobile credentials as well as MIFARE and JustInMobile.
The enclosure measures 70 x 174 x 32mm, with an 11mm-wide, 50mm-long shackle. This padlock weighs 1.065kg and uses 4 LR1 alkaline batteries to deliver 130,000 operations - battery status monitoring helps assist maintenance while -35 and 65 degree Celsius temperature range supports operation in harsh environments.

An optical light ring provides green or red access-authorisation indications, with an optional acoustic signal. The unit also incorporates anti-drilling protection and emergency opening through a portable programming device.
Neoxx G4 is available in Australia through Wesco Anixter, which lists multiple G4 configurations including fixed and removable 50mm shackles and different credential technologies.

Work it out for your gateHow long does one set of batteries last here?Salto rates a set of four LR1 cells at 130,000 operations. Drag to the traffic you expect and see what that means in maintenance visits.

17.8 yrsAt 20 openings a day, 130,000 operations is about 17.8 years of use, so cell shelf life, not usage, sets the change interval.
A sizing sketch, not a design document. SEN arithmetic on Salto’s 130,000-operation figure. It ignores alkaline shelf life, cold-weather capacity loss near the −35 °C end of the range, and BLE wake-ups; the padlock’s battery status monitoring is the number to act on.
