Secom STS Opens Darwin Office to Support Northern Defence and Infrastructure Contracts.
Secom STS Opens Darwin Office — Tier 1 security integrator, Secom Technical Services, has opened a new branch in Darwin, expanding its national footprint to better service customers in Australia’s north.
Secom is already delivering works in the region and through its new office will now maintain a permanent technical and administrative presence in the Northern Territory, focused on defence, critical infrastructure, and major construction projects.
Secom’s move reflects increasing demand for integrated security, communications, and infrastructure services across the region, particularly in and around defence installations.
Northern Territory defence presence includes RAAF Base Darwin, Robertson Barracks, Larrakeyah Defence Precinct, and RAAF Base Tindal. These strategic facilities are undergoing continual upgrades under multi-billion dollar programs, including Australia–US Force Posture Initiatives and Defence Estate Works Programs. The expansion of Indo-Pacific operations, training rotations, and allied interoperability have created consistent project flows in the Top End.
Secom’s new office will allow the company to directly support a growing number of projects in these and other sectors, reducing lead times, cutting mobilisation costs, and improving local responsiveness.
“The new Darwin office reflects our long-term commitment to customers across northern Australia,” said Secom STS director, Ken Seiler.
“It means we can support projects with full-time resources on the ground, instead of flying people up every time a contract comes through.”
