Security Awards Recognise Excellence At 2025 Australian Security Industry Awards.
Security Awards Recognise Excellence – More than 300 industry leaders gathered at the Park Hyatt Melbourne to celebrate the recipients of the 2025 Australian Security Industry Awards.
Organised by the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL), the evening brought together 3 major industry awards – the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence, the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), and the Australian Security Medals Foundation Awards.
ASIAL general manager John Fleming said the awards recognised the critical role of the security industry in supporting safety and resilience.
“Tonight’s recipients reflect the increasingly important contribution Australia’s security industry makes in helping keep our community safe 24/7,” Fleming said. “Safeguarding the well-being of individuals and protecting both the digital and physical environments in which we live and work.”
Meanwhile, Australian Security Medals Foundation chair Damian McMeekin said the award nominations reflected the professionalism of security staff in challenging circumstances.
“The nominations and other input received by the Foundation this year have demonstrated yet again the quality, value and importance of security personnel’s vital contributions to the Australian community’s safety and harmony,” McMeekin said.
“The breadth, depth and consistency of that contribution is demonstrated in only some small part in this year’s awards for service, and for saving lives.”
And Professor Martin Gill, director of World Excellence Awards, said the calibre of OSPAs entries was again exceptional.
“This year the Outstanding Security Performance Awards provide an extra spotlight on those achieving a high level of performance in different areas of security in Australia,” Professor Gill said. “The winners of each category will represent Australia at the Global OSPAs awards – alongside the winners from other countries – that will take place in early 2026.”
