See CEIA MSDW Plus Ferromagnetic Detector At SAGE 2026 – CEIA Pacific will show its MSDW Plus wall-mounted ferromagnetic detector at Security & Government Expo (SAGE), Hotel Realm Canberra, on 19 November 2026.
Designed to detect mobile phones, smartwatches and other personal electronic devices before they enter secure areas, MSDW Plus provides discreet screening for government, defence and correctional facilities where conventional walk-through metal detectors may be unsuitable.
The detector responds to ferromagnetic and magnetised materials found in virtually every mobile phone and similar electronic device, regardless of whether the device is switched on. Full-height detection and multi-zone optical alarm signalling identify the approximate location of an item on the body, supporting targeted secondary inspection.
MSDW Plus has a compact footprint and can be integrated into doorways, entrances and architectural structures where visible screening equipment is undesirable. An optional Bluetooth headset allows operators to receive discreet alarm notifications.
The detector is constructed from AISI 316L stainless steel and reinforced plastics and can be powered using PoE Ethernet or an external AC/DC adapter. System monitoring, configuration and event log downloads are supported through the CEIA FMD+ mobile app.
MSDW Plus also complies with applicable standards relating to personal medical electronic devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators and cochlear implants.
