Takex FS-2000E Flame Sensor Features 10m Range And Reports Alarm Events Via Fire Or Security Panels.
Takex FS-2000E Flame Sensor – Takex FS-2000E is a flame sensor designed to detect ultraviolet radiation from flames and initiate an alarm through an internal sounder and external output.
The sensor detects flames at distances of up to 10m through an angle of view of 120 degrees and can be connected via that output to a fire or security control panel.
The FS-2000E detects ultraviolet radiation in the 185 to 260nm wavelength range. The 120-degree detection area can be adjusted horizontally by 25 degrees through the base and vertically by 30 degrees in 4 steps through the sensor head.
What it seesA lighter flame at 10 m, anywhere in a 120° coneThe FS-2000E watches for the ultraviolet signature of a flame, not smoke or heat, so it can react before a fire has grown.
Detection bandIts 185–260 nm band sits below the roughly 280 nm point where ground-level sunlight starts. That is why UV flame sensors are generally described as “solar-blind”.

Source. Range, test flame, angle, adjustment and wavelength from the Takex FS-2000E specification. The roughly 280 nm sunlight cut-off and “solar-blind” description are general UV physics added by SEN, not Takex claims. UV sensors generally can’t see through ordinary window glass, so mount with a clear line of sight. The diagram is schematic.
Detection timing can be selected at 0.2, 1, 6 or 30 seconds, allowing the sensor to be configured for different applications. An alarm memory identifies which sensor has activated, with the memory LED flashing for 3 minutes before remaining illuminated for 47 minutes.
Alarm sequencePick a detection timer, then light the flameThe timer sets how long a flame must persist before the FS-2000E alarms. Short settings react fast; long settings ride out brief flashes. Here is what happens next.

Source. Timer steps, the 10-second red LED and intermittent sounder, the 3-minute blink and 47-minute steady memory LED, and the Form C dry contact are from the Takex specification. The sounder can be silenced, and auto-reset can be switched on or off. Memory durations are compressed in the demo; the 30 s timer runs at 5× speed.

The sensor’s Form C dry-contact relay output for connection to fire or security control panels and can also be used trigger warning devices or drive PTZs in CCTV systems. There’s a separate Form B tamper output operates when the cover is removed.
The internal alarm sounder produces more than 80dB at 1m and can be disabled if not required. In terms of operations the FS-2000E operates from 10 to 30VDC with non-polarity power input and draws up to 25mA in standby or 75mA during alarm with the sounder operating.
This sensor is designed for indoor ceiling or wall mounting, measures 120mm in diameter and weighs approximately 150g, making it a compact choice for domestic, SMB or larger applications.
