Gallagher Security F5 and F6 Fence Controllers Coming To SAGE 2026 November 19!
Gallagher Security F5 and F6 Fence Controllers – Gallagher Security’s brand new F5 and F6 Fence Controllers bring safety-monitored pulse fence technology to perimeter security applications, combining intrusion detection with controlled energisation for sites requiring an active perimeter deterrent.
Gallagher will be demonstrating the F5 and F6 at SAGE in Canberra on 19 November showing off features making them ideal for multi-zone perimeter applications where detection, deterrence and safety are required.
Smart Sync, explainedWhen multi-zone pulses drift, the fence must back offIEC 60335-2-76 requires energisers to drop to defined safe limits when synchronisation is lost. Smart Sync keeps zones in step, and if the sync signal drops it lowers energy automatically so the fence keeps detecting and deterring.

Source. Feature matrix and standards from Gallagher’s F5/F6 datasheet; DPPM as listed on Gallagher’s product page. SELV is hardware-ready and enabled by a later software update. HVplus is excluded from UK/Europe variants. The waveform is a schematic, not measured output, and shows no real voltages or timings.
The F5 and F6 models incorporate Smart Sync, while the F6 adds Safety Extra Low Voltage readiness and Dual Pulse Peak Measurement. Smart Sync addresses the timing of pulses across multi-zone energised fences. Where controllers pulse independently, timing can drift and out-of-sync pulses can create unsafe conditions. Under the IEC 60335-2-76 international safety standard, energisers must reduce their output to defined safe limits when synchronisation is lost, until it is restored.

Smart SyncAll zones pulse in step. If the sync signal drops, output falls to IEC 60335-2-76 safe limits until it is restored.
HVplus · F6 onlyWhen an attack is detected, the next pulse goes to maximum deterrent and stays there for 20 minutes.
Source. Gallagher F5/F6 datasheet (03/26) and release. Schematic only, not an installation guide. Single-zone (Fx1) units shown, one per zone; dual-zone (Fx2) units drive two zones each. Lightning diverters, earthing and host fence are typical of a pulse fence install, not Gallagher specifications. HVplus is not available on UK/Europe variants.
Smart Sync maintains consistent pulse timing along the fence and automatically adjusts energy levels if the sync signal drops. This allows the fence to continue operating as an intrusion deterrent while reducing the safety risk associated with loss of synchronisation.
The new F5 and F6 are compatible with Gallagher Command Centre v9.40 and above and retain the footprint of earlier models, simplifying replacement and installation. They can operate as standalone systems or be deployed with Gallagher Controller 7000 series hardware, supporting installations ranging from single-zone protection through to larger multi-zone and multi-controller perimeter systems.
