THE Victorian Security Institute has announced speakers for its mid-year seminar held in conjunction with the SecTech Roadshow tomorrow, May 2, at the MCEC, sponsored by Siemens.

The VSI seminar showcases leading security technology and provides attendees with an opportunity to share experiences and learn about contemporary security & risk issues, government & regulatory policy, emerging technologies and industry best practice. There are 4 sessions throughout the day:

* 10.00am Commissioner Steve Dargavel – Labour Hire Authority Victoria “The Introduction of the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) and its Impact on the Security Industry”.

* 11.45am Ms. Suzanne Lockhart, Director- Technology Engineering Group ‘Biometric Technology Trends, Issues and Adoption’.

* 1.00pm Dr. Joel Spencer- CEO, The Institute for Drone Technology “Drone Technology- Current Issues & Challenges within Industry”

* 4.00pm Mr. Kostas Kyrifidis, Lead Auditor- Grading & Certification, Victorian Security Institute ‘AS2201.2 Monitoring Centres’ standard: a Time for Change and new Considerations’.
