The Camerio product family includes the VT series, a video transmitter that allows remote viewing and the VR series, a triplex solution that allows viewing of live images, viewing of recorded images and recording simultaneously. Finally there’s the VX series, an all-in-one video recording transmitter with dual composite video outputs and removable hard drive. With Camerio you get RJ-45 and serial 232 interfaces, allowing simultaneous transmission of data over networks or available phone lines – a neat feature. There’s also transmission across the mobile GSM network for pocket PC. Standout features include 16 camera and alarm inputs, 25 images per second transmission in PAL via LAN, and 20 images per second over PSTN. Resolution is 640 x 480 pixels and each unit has a built-in web server and development tool, and comes with remote monitoring software. Recording rate is 100 frames per second and there’s pre and post alarm recording, remote recording control and playback, event management and much more.
