CLEAR reports 2 Major League Soccer (MLS) stadiums will install its technology, adding to the growing number of American Football stadiums that have gone biometric.

MLS fans attending the soccer games of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) at the Banc of California Stadium and the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium will have the option to gain expedited entry into games by enrolling for free at any of CLEAR’s sports locations. CLEAR enables enrolled attendees to get to the front of the security line.

“Our organization is always pursuing new avenues to enhance the overall fan experience both inside and outside of Avaya Stadium,” says Earthquakes Chief Operating Officer Jared Shawlee. “Adding CLEAR’s fast and free service will give our fans an easy pathway into the stadium on match day.”

CLEAR says it is also developing additional biometric-powered stadium experiences, including biometric ticketing and biometric payments for concessions and merchandise purchases.

“We’re thrilled to expand further into soccer, and work hand-in-hand with these two innovative professional sports teams to provide fans the most enjoyable, hassle-free game day experience possible,” says Lauren Stangel, vice president, sports & entertainment at CLEAR.

“Teams and fans are very excited about the new ways we’ll be expanding the platform to improve the fan experience, including biometric concessions and ticketing. There’s a lot more to come.”

CLEAR biometric solutions are already installed at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field in New York, Coors Field in Denver, Safeco Field in Seattle, Marlins Park and American Airlines Arena in Miami, AT&T Park in San Francisco, SunTrust Park in Atlanta, Oakland-Alameda Coliseum and Comerica Park in Detroit, as well as many major airports.
