The DSC WLS922L-433 from BGW Technologies is a wireless glassbreak detector for use with alarm panels such as the DSC PC1616, PC1832, and PC1864 and DSC Impassa, which use an RF5132-433 receiver or DSC’s TR5164-433 transceiver.
DSC’s WLS922L-433 can detect the sound of framed glass breaking up to a 7.5m radius. The device is supervised and communicates with the panel via the 433MHz wireless frequency.
Based on DSC’s Acuity technology, the sensor uses dynamic signal processing to provide accurate detection of different glass types, while rejecting common false alarm sounds. There’s also a tamper-activated test mode that can be carried out using the AFT100 Glassbreak Simulator.
The WLS922L-433 is provided with an installer-selectable dip switch for level 1 and level 2 detection, to detection to optimize false alarm
immunity in acoustically challenging environments.
This sensor is compact at 135 x 60 x 35mm and lightweight at only 130g. Replacement batteries for this unit are the CR123 lithium 3-volt and 2 are included with the sensor.
