SAGE 2021, to be held in partnership with ASIS ACT at the Realm Hotel on November 25 (attendees and delegates pre-register here and exhibitor pre-register here), continues to be freed from COVID-19 restrictions as state health rules lift to reflect NSW and ACT vaccination rates now above 90 per cent.
COVID-19 restrictions relating to NSW/ACT travel, as well as social distancing at the Realm Hotel, have changed in line with easing restrictions in NSW and ACT, with state borders now completely open for all fully vaccinated people.
The Realm Hotel has also moved from 1 person per 4 square metres to 1 per 2 square metres, meaning a 350 maximum in the ballroom, a number greater than attend the event at one time.
Importantly, masks are no longer required indoors for delegates, though hotel service staff are still required to wear them, while eating and drinking alcohol standing up are also now be permitted.
All delegates and exhibitors will need to check in using the hotel’s CBR app on arrival but in line with ACT Health policy, you won’t be required to show a vaccination certificate, though SAGE organisers do encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated.
Organisers will pass on more information as it comes to hand, but on current vaccination and infection rates it’s certain SAGE, sponsored by Gallagher, will be the only security expo in Australia this year.
