Acecom Wins Bushfires NT CCTV Upgrade – Acecom NT has been awarded a contract to upgrade the CCTV network at the Bushfires NT Headquarters complex at Acacia Hills in the Darwin region.
The project is intended to provide additional security across the headquarters complex and includes certification, labour, materials, supply and installation required to complete the CCTV upgrade. The original tender release did not specify the exact scope or level of integration required.
Bushfires NT is headquartered at Acacia Hills and is responsible for fire management support across rural and remote areas of the Territory, including supporting landholders and volunteer brigades and coordinating aerial firefighting capability across the Top End.
The $6.8 million Bushfires NT headquarters opened in 2020 and includes an incident control room, radio operations room, volunteer training facilities, workshop and appliance bays. The facility also houses the Bushfire Control Centre, which provides NT-wide bushfire coordination and operational support during significant incidents.
Meanwhile, Acecom NT is a Darwin-based fire and electronic security contractor established in 1990, with operations in Darwin and Alice Springs. Its capabilities include CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, communications cabling and fire systems, with the company undertaking government, commercial and infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory.
