The AXIS 207W is the world’s smallest wireless MPEG-4 network camera and is designed for indoor surveillance and remote monitoring applications. It is suited for securing small businesses, home offices and residences. The AXIS 207W uses the IEEE 802.11g wireless standard, which provides significantly higher transmission speeds than IEEE 802.11b. The AXIS 207W joins the AXIS 207 family of CMOS sensor-based network cameras, which provide excellent image quality in lighting conditions as low as one lux. The AXIS 207 family also features one-way audio, video motion detection and input/output connections for external devices. The AXIS 207W comes with both ethernet and wireless network interfaces and contains a built-in web server that allows it to function independently of a PC. It supports the WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) and WPA2 protocols to provide the best security protection for wireless networks. The camera generates full-motion video up to 30 frames a second in VGA resolution using simultaneous MPEG-4 compression and Motion JPEG streaming. The AXIS 207W is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. It also has a built-in ActiveX media player and is compatible with QuickTime, Real Networks, Mplayer, PacketVideo, and handheld devices such as PDAs and cell phones. Additional features include: * UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) * Bonjour support * Alarm and event management * Video motion detection * Multiple user access levels with password protection.
