The new Easy Series is a highly innovative and easy to install intruder detection solution for smaller businesses and homes. Instead of conventional text menu displays, Easy Series speaks to the user to make set-up and operation extremely fast and easy. For example, all operations and programming controls are voice-prompted either locally or via the telephone – installers don’t even have to visit the premises to make changes or for maintenance. Another major feature is that the user display is totally text free – instead it uses easy to understand symbols making it extremely simple to operate without complex text menus and button pressing. It also allows remote alarm transmission by text or voice messaging so users can be alerted wherever they are. An RFID token on a keyring allows easy identification for users without entering access codes. Users can set detection for all zones or just for selected zones if they are in the premises. “We are delighted to win this prestigious Security Industry Award which recognises the innovative design concept of the Easy Series” said Jeremy Hockham, the new MD of Bosch Security Systems based at Denham. “Easy Series really lives up to its name – it literally speaks to the installer and user alike to make installation and operation very quick and easy,” he added. The Innovation Award winners were announced by The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) at Ifsec 2005. BSIA seeks to promote the highest standards of excellence in the field of security. According to the BSIA, this year’s awards have for the first time recognised not only the best new products developed since February 2004, but also excellence in the fields of exporting and project innovation.
