CCTV Upgrades for Roma Street Parkland and Victoria Park – City Parklands Services has issued a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of upgraded CCTV systems across Roma Street Parkland and Victoria Park Barrambin in Brisbane.
City Parklands Services, a subsidiary of Brisbane City Council, manages the 16-hectare Roma Street Parkland and Victoria Park Barrambin. According to the tender release, the precincts require surveillance infrastructure upgrades to “maintain security, public safety, and asset protection”.
The project seeks a principal contractor with expertise in CCTV installation to modernise surveillance systems at both sites. Submissions must detail experience in public precinct security solutions, compliance with relevant standards, and capacity to integrate systems within existing operational frameworks.
Roma Street Parkland is a key urban green space in Brisbane’s central district, incorporating gardens, recreational areas, and public event spaces. Victoria Park Barrambin, formerly a golf course, is undergoing a long-term transformation into one of Brisbane’s largest natural parklands, offering restored bushland, cultural spaces, and recreational trails.
The sites are huge, with multiple structures, variable lighting, deep shade, bodies of water, events during day and night, and the requirement to integrate the CCTV system with existing solutions – most likely the QPS control room in Brisbane.
