Chubb Signs Agreement With Comvision

♦ Chubb Signs Agreement With Comvision – Security integrator Chubb Fire & Security has signed a regional alliance agreement with Australian technology developer, Comvision.

According to Comvision’s managing director, Paul Gilbertson, the alliance means that Chubb will be a major partner for Comvision and its award winning Appvision PSIM security management system from PRYSM.

AppVision is a PSIM platform for security, safety and technical management systems. Open, scalable and neutral, it guarantees the integration and control of equipment and applications in a single interface for multiple sub-systems. The PSIM interface drivers are developed locally by the Comvision team.

“Not only is this a major contract for Comvision, it’s a great thing for Chubb Fire & Security,” Gilbertson said. “We’ve worked with Chubb before on key sites so we know they are an organisation that can deliver big solutions and they know we can support them.”

According to Gilberton, the AppVision platform is open architecture, and its development for driver interfaces is undertaken here in Australia, which he says is challenging for other solutions. Comvision has been involved in the Command and Control software business for the last 25 years and has developed a strong reputation in this arena.

“We’re a bunch of tech heads who love cutting interfaces and Chubb is a great security integrator, making this the perfect partnership,” Gilbertson said. “As a national systems integrator Chubb is really going to take this product to the market and together, we will be a force to be reckoned with.”

Chubb Fire & Security’s director of electronic security, Norman Grieve, said the alliance gave Chubb access to a fantastic suite of products the team could not wait to take to market.

“The fact the guys at Comvision build and program the system here in Australia is the key – there’s no need to go overseas – it’s a great opportunity for us,” Grieve said.

“To be able to sit in a room and have a meeting with a software developer when you’re trying to meet a large customer’s needs – looking at complex integrations and figuring out how they can work – this alliance is the perfect solution for us.”
