Connectified Watch Guardian Assist Adds Duress And Welfare – Watch Guardian Assist Anatomy wearable from monitoring and wireless networking specialist Connectified Australia combines duress alarm functionality with geofencing, welfare checks, medication reminders and a range of health monitoring functions.

Watch Guardian Assist provides a red alarm activated by a long press of the home button, with an alarm able to be cancelled by double tapping. The watch can also generate a red alarm when the wearer is inside a configured geofence or muster point.

Depending on use case, company branding and the wearer’s display name can be configured through the Watch Guardian Portal, while notifications are indicated on the watch face and accessed by swiping across the display.

Welfare checks can be scheduled through the portal and presented to the wearer at a specified date and time. Meanwhile, the wearer can confirm they are OK or activate an alarm manually. If there is no response within 20 seconds, Watch Guardian Assist automatically triggers the alarm.

Why it matters: the design assumes the wearer may be unable to respond — a fall, a medical event, an assault. The 20-second timeout is what turns a missed check into a positive alarm rather than a silent gap in coverage. Timing as stated by Connectified Australia; this demonstration compresses 20 real seconds into a shorter animated cycle and alternates between the two outcomes so both are visible.

The system also supports medication management. Medication reminders appear on the watch at scheduled times and allow the wearer to record medication as taken or skipped. Prescription renewal dates can also be configured, with reminders generated 1 week and 1 day before the nominated renewal date.
