Council Of Coober Pedy Seeks Tier 1 CCTV Suppliers – District Council of Coober Pedy is seeking submissions from ‘tier 1’ CCTV suppliers for the supply and delivery of CCTV infrastructure equipment.
This is a request for quotations covering a range of equipment required for a local installation project with delivery to be completed by mid-June 2025 where possible.
The equipment will be installed by council’s own team, with suppliers responsible solely for the delivery of specified infrastructure components. The procurement forms part of the council’s broader public safety and infrastructure development initiatives.
A CCTV solution was installed at Coober Pedy in 2023 focused on Hutchison St, with footage monitored by local police. At the time of installation there was community concern around face recognition and number plate capture, functionalities the system was not set up to deliver.
