Frankston Seeks Body Cameras And Recording.
Frankston seeks body cameras – Frankston City Council has gone to tender seeking the provision and implementation of a body camera solution.
While the tender outline doesn’t give much detail, the requirement is not only for cameras but for “body worn recording devices” – given the state of current technology, these may record direct to device, or direct to cloud.
Last year, Frankston City Council sought formal proposals for delivery of improved CCTV technologies and extended CCTV coverage throughout the municipality using IoT-based technology and solutions (see more here) that minimise on on-site servers and workstations.
Whichever body camera solution is selected in this tender is likely to be required to conform with council’s ongoing digital transformation.
