Gallagher Promotes George Dunleavy – Gallagher Security has promoted George Dunleavy to the position of sales manager for South Australia and Northern Territory.

Joining Gallagher in 2021 as technical business development manager for SA and NT, George brings a wealth of knowledge and 17 years’ experience in the security industry. Prior to joining Gallagher, Dunleavy held the role of strategic manager for security and emergency management with South Australia’s Department for Education. Dunleavy has also served as a police officer with the South Australian Police in Adelaide and the West Midlands Police in Birmingham, England.

“I am looking forward to furthering the success of Gallagher Security in our region, strengthening connections with existing clients, and unlocking new opportunities,” Dunleavy said. “It is an exciting time for the industry and the company, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to impart my own personality and values into the way we deliver our objectives over the coming years.”

Gallagher Security’s executive vice president for Asia Pacific and India, Middle East, and Africa (APAC and IMEA), Craig Schutte said that after an extensive and competitive recruitment process, the company was thrilled to have promoted Dunleavy within the team.

“George brings a wealth of practical incident and crisis management experience, extensive contacts and relationships within the region, and will be instrumental in Gallagher’s continued growth across South Australia,” Schutte said.

Based in Adelaide, Dunleavy stepped into his new role on January 8th taking over from Karl Harris, and will continue to work closely with Gallagher’s extensive network of Channel Partners alongside Mark Vickery, technical business development manager for SA and NT.

“SA and NT have achieved remarkable success as a team in recent years – it’s crucial to uphold this standard and build on Karl Harris’ excellent groundwork,” Dunleavy said. “Our immediate focus is on deepening customer engagement and continuing to provide the support and service they have come to expect.

“While operational changes are minimal in the short term, we plan to deepen interactions with end users, channel partners, integration partners, and industry professionals throughout the year. This proactive approach aims to identify areas for improvement, ensuring our Gallagher Security experience consistently exceeds expectations and strengthens our community and commercial ties.”

Due to this internal promotion, Gallagher Security is now recruiting a senior business development manager to drive further growth across the South Australia and Northern Territory regions.
