ICT Celebrates 2 Decades Of Innovation.
ICT Celebrates 2 Decades Of Innovation – Integrated Control Technology is celebrating 20 years designing and manufacturing innovative solutions for a growing customer base.
Founded by Hayden and Rachael Burr in October 2003, the company has grown from humble beginnings to become a globally recognized pioneer of security technologies.
Today, ICT secures tens of thousands of properties around the world, with the global headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing in New Zealand and offices in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Hong Kong.
“My vision was a unification of access control, intrusion, and automation,” said Hayden Burr. “The key part was to make it simple. We designed something that could handle intrusion, access control, or building automation independently – but shows its true power when combined.”
“The business is focused on solving customer problems 100 per cent of the time. This has been the driving force behind the evolution of our hardware and software over the past twenty years.”

According to Burr, continual product refinements are testament to this focus, which is why ICT dedicates 40 per cent of the New Zealand workforce to research and development. Significant investments have also been made to drive market innovation, with further expansion underway in North America and EMEA.
“Our new cloud-based access and security platform Protege X includes the latest cyber security protection, offering complete scalability and unified management – you can also expect to see multiple new releases as ICT embarks on further growth in 2024,” Burr said.
“On behalf of the whole ICT team, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all our partners for their contribution to the company’s success – exciting developments are on the horizon.”
