ION Launches F18 Bypass Promo

ION has launched a promotion offering a free maintenance bypass with any F18 1,2 or 3kVA UPS solution – as part of the promotion each F18 Online Double Conversion Rack/Tower UPS is supported by an F-MBP16 1RU rack mount maintenance bypass switch.

“The ION F18 range is the perfect way to flexibly integrate reliable power supply,” said ION’s Sky Guyatt. “A UPS provides power in unexpected power outages and is available in a variety of form factors (tower, rack/tower convertible). Supporting this, the ION rack mount bypass switch enables maintenance to be undertaken on the UPS, giving extra peace of mind and protection.”

ION F-18 combines rectifiers and inverters to isolate output power from input anomalies and is available in a variety of form factors (tower, rack/tower convertible). ION 1kVA, 2kVA and 3kVA are rack/tower convertible with tower feet and rack kits. ION backs all of its single-phase UPS with its 3-year advanced replacement warranty on electronics and batteries.

ION’s 1RU rackmount bypass switch was the perfect way to enable real time live bypassing of a UPS system without causing any interruption to IT equipment or a connected load.

“Using the rotary switch, anybody can transfer equipment load from the UPS to mains supply,” Guyatt explained. “ION rackmount bypass switches enable maintenance to be undertaken on a UPS system during business hours and provides a backup option to quickly restore power to equipment if the UPS fails, delivering cost-effective and reliable redundancy to IT infrastructure’s power supply.
