IQSIGHT AUTODOME 7100s IR

IQSIGHT AUTODOME 7100s IR Delivers 550m IR And 30x Zoom Delivering Identification At 280 Metres.

IQSIGHT AUTODOME 7100s IR – IQSIGHT has released the AUTODOME 7100s and AUTODOME 7100s IR, a new series of 4MP outdoor PTZ cameras combining 30x optical zoom, long-range IR illumination, starlight low-light performance and edge-based video analytics.

Formerly Bosch Video Systems, IQSIGHT has designed the AUTODOME 7100s series for demanding outdoor applications including critical infrastructure, government facilities, transport networks, perimeter protection and smart city surveillance.

These new cameras are based on the company’s CPP16 platform, while the AUTODOME 7100s IR adds dynamic infrared illumination for surveillance in complete darkness.

At the heart of the AUTODOME 7100s IR is a 4MP 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor delivering 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, coupled with a 30x optical zoom lens covering 6.6-198mm. A further 16x digital zoom is available, while horizontal field of view ranges from 58.7 degrees at the wide end to 2.2 degrees at maximum optical zoom.

The camera’s DORI performance is particularly strong at the long end of the lens. Detection extends to 2794m, while recognition reaches 559m and identification is possible to 280m under the EN 62676-4 DORI criteria. That’s outstanding performance, in SEN’s opinion. At the wide end, corresponding distances are 91m for detection, 18m for recognition and 9m for identification, which is very good, too.

Bars use a logarithmic scale so the wide-angle figures stay readable alongside the telephoto ones. DORI classes are defined by pixel density on target under EN 62676-4: detection at 25px/m, recognition at 125px/m and identification at 250px/m.

Low-light performance is enhanced by IQSIGHT starlight technology, with quoted minimum illumination of 0.0168 lux in colour and 0.0017 lux in monochrome. The IR version operates at 0 lux using its integrated 850nm illuminator, which provides that maximum IR detection range of 550m. Dynamic IR automatically synchronises beam angle and intensity with optical zoom position to maintain illumination as operators move between wide and telephoto views.

Image processing includes HDR X with a quoted 133dB dynamic range. HDR X Motion Optimized is designed to retain detail without the motion blur and trailing artefacts that can affect HDR images of moving people and vehicles, including while the PTZ itself is moving.

PTZ performance includes continuous 360-degree pan, a pan speed ranging from 0.01 to 400 degrees per second and tilt from -90 to +20 degrees, with 220-degree auto-flip. Tilt speed reaches 300 degrees per second. The camera supports 256 pre-positions with typical accuracy of ±0.10 degrees, along with recorded and pre-position guard tours.

Edge analytics are provided by IQSIGHT Intelligent Video Analytics Pro, with IVA Pro Buildings, IVA Pro Perimeter and IVA Pro Privacy included. Available licensed analytics include IVA Pro Traffic, Intelligent Tracking, Visual Gun Detection, Appearance and Personal Protective Equipment. Analytics support line crossing, intrusion into or departure from fields, loitering, route following, counting, occupancy, object removal, tampering and object tracking. Object classification includes people, bicycles, cars and trucks. GenAI+ capability is scheduled to become available in Q4 2026.

Video can be streamed at up to 60fps, with multiple configurable H.265, H.264 and M-JPEG streams. The camera also supports electronic image stabilisation, intelligent defog, 32 privacy masks and up to 2TB of local microSD storage.

Mechanical design is intended for exposed outdoor installations. The aluminium housing is rated IP66 and IK10, with UL Type 4X protection. Operating temperature is -40C to 50C with IR operating and -40C to 60C with IR off. The camera is designed to maintain its position in wind gusts of up to 274km/h.

Positioning uses brushless motors and Kevlar-reinforced drive belts, while positional encoders allow the camera to retain its position following power loss or excessive external force. Built-in surge protection covers power, data and network interfaces.

Meanwhile, cybersecurity features include Secure Element 3.0 certified to Common Criteria EAL6+ and FIPS 140-3 Level 3, TLS 1.3, AES encryption, secure boot, signed firmware and an embedded firewall.
