Logan City Council in Queensland through the ‘Logan Safety Camera Program and Queensland Police Service (QPS) Logan District Tasking and Coordination Centre (DTACC) partnership’ has been nominated as a finalist in the 2021 Partnerships & Collaboration Award for Local Government.

According to Council, the partnership between Logan City Council’s Safety Camera Program and the QPS has created significant operational efficiencies as communication between LSCP and QPS is streamlined. The program has enabled the QPS to respond to incidents with greater information and timeliness, improving the safety of officers and community.

Logan City Council’s Logan Safety Camera Program monitors around 320 cameras, most being HD PTZs and is one of Australia’s pioneering public safety solutions, with a history dating back to 2001.

PERMACONN

There are strict policies, standing orders and operating procedures to ensure integrity, confidentiality and the privacy of the community at all times, which form part of council’s close partnership with the QPS.
