Mobotix Releases New Ip Camera For E598

The image formats that the cameras reproduce range from CIF (320 x 240 pixels), VGA (640 x 480 pixels) to a megapixel resolution (1280 x 960 pixels), and they can be selected to meet specific user requirements.

In comparison, the movies you see at the cinema today show only 24 images per second. What’s more, Mobotix also emphasizes the price of the new network cameras.

The entry-level model includes a wall mount with a concealed cable duct covering the standard RJ45 flush-mounted power connectors. These new models include all the functions of the preceding Mobotix cameras as standard.

Image improvement and true-color functions have been integrated into the M22M
camera series to enable the devices to generate high-contrast, true-color images even when the lighting conditions are less than perfect.

The series includes multi-function models as well as cameras especially designed for specific security applications or nighttime use. The night version cameras are equipped with a black-and-white sensor and an infrared lens to achieve optimum light sensitivity.

The weatherproof enclosure of the M22M camera series is hardly larger than that of a digital camera. Nevertheless, it accommodates a microphone and a speaker, supports bidirectional audio and records lip-synchronous sound. The cameras forward any alarms issued via the integrated IP telephony functions on the basis of SIP as a telephone call to the user.

Power is supplied via the network line using standard PoE (Power over Ethernet) or the Mobotix network power adapter. Mobotix cameras require no additional heating, which means they can get all the power they need via the network without overheating, even during the winter.

Additionally, the M22M camera series are certified to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +60 °C. Digital zoom, pan and the freely definable exposure windows combined with other functions reduce the storage requirements of the M22M series to a minimum.

Mobotix technology integrated into the cameras also takes advantage of motion recognition and event-controlled frame rates to reduce the load on the network,
which means that image data is not transmitted unless something actually changes in the picture.

In addition, the camera software offers the option of using the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) process or an external ring buffer to record the images. Customers can also use any standard Internet browser for playback and the simultaneous viewing of up to 30 cameras. The camera series also includes an advanced alarm management system for pre- and post-alarms.
