New Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid – Ajax Systems’ Superior Hub Hybrid 4G is a hybrid security alarm control panel supporting both wired Fibra and wireless Jeweller devices.
Designed for professional intrusion protection with visual verification, the control panel supports up to 100 Ajax devices and integrates both communication technologies to secure commercial, industrial, and residential sites of varying size and complexity.
The system can manage up to 8 wired Fibra lines with ring or star topology, enabling line redundancy in the event of a cable break. Fibra lines support communication over distances up to 2000 metres using U/UTP Cat5 cable and can handle up to 14.4 watts of power output across all connected wired devices. Each line is protected against sabotage through polling intervals and encrypted communication protocols.
Jeweller is Ajax’s wireless protocol, offering communication ranges up to 2000 metres in open space with encrypted, low-latency event transmission. It supports automatic frequency hopping to avoid interference and maintains device status through polling intervals as low as 12 seconds. The control panel can also handle photo verification via Wings, Ajax’s dedicated protocol for transmitting image data, which supports delivery of alarm photos in under 9 seconds and operates up to 1700 metres from the hub.
The Superior Hub Hybrid (4G) includes Ethernet and dual micro-SIM slots for dual-path connectivity, with automatic switching between channels and SIM cards. Primary data transmission occurs via Ethernet, with 4G networks acting as backup. The system complies with EN 50136 transmission categories SP2, SP5 and DP3, and supports both Contact ID and SIA (DC-09) reporting formats.
The hub supports up to 25 third-party cameras or DVRs via RTSP and has native integrations with Dahua, Hikvision, Uniview, EZVIZ and Safire. Up to 50 users can be registered, each with configurable permissions, along with support for 32 automation scenarios and 9 security groups. All events are logged to internal flash memory with capacity for 1000 recent events.
Superior Hub Hybrid (4G) supports up to 60 hours of autonomous operation when fitted with a 7Ah backup battery, and includes status monitoring for battery charge, voltage, and performance. The hub monitors communication integrity with all devices and issues tamper, jamming, and communication failure alerts within 36 seconds of incident detection. Built-in substitution and information security meet S2 and I2 grading.
Cased in durable polycarbonate, the unit is rated to IP40 and IK06 for mechanical protection and operates in ambient temperatures between -10C and +40C. Dimensions are 192 x 238 x 100mm, and total weight is under 850g.
Hub Hybrid features full installation hardware, resistors, a power cable, battery connection, Ethernet cable, and documentation. It is compatible with the full suite of Ajax wired and wireless intrusion, fire, comfort, and automation devices.
