Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service Seeks Thermal Cameras – Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) has gone to tender seeking thermal imaging cameras.
NTFRS is seeking supply and delivery, including service and accessories, of thermal imaging cameras for a period of 12 months for firefighting operations.
Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) protects the NT community from emergencies involving fire, motor vehicle crashes and other dangerous situations, including hazard abatement and building collapse.
As a fire and rescue service, the NTFRS aims to protect people, property and then environment through the delivery of emergency services, awareness programs, response capability and capacity (preparedness), and incident response and recovery to ensure a safer Northern Territory.
The service is made up of 27 fire stations, 16 staffed by volunteer brigade units, 5 staffed 24 hours a day by career fire fighters, and the remainder being a mix of career and auxiliary fire fighters.
The NTFRS has 180 permanent staff working in the regional centres of Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Yulara and Jabiru, as well as 54 part-time auxiliaries and approximately 250 volunteers.
