Powerlink Queensland has released a current tender seeking on-site security services to support its Central Queensland transmission infrastructure program.

Successful bidders will be responsible for regular site patrols, access control management and monitoring all personnel movements to ensure only authorised entry to project sites.
The contract also requires a structured incident response capability, with providers expected to manage and report security events ranging from theft and vandalism to safety-related incidents.
In addition to operational security, the provider will deliver training to program personnel, maintain security equipment such as cameras and alarms, and produce ongoing reporting covering activities and incidents.
Emergency preparedness forms part of the brief, with contractors expected to work alongside project teams to develop response plans for security and broader site emergencies. All services must comply with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
