MINING giant, Rio Tinto, has gone to tender seeking the design, installation and commissioning of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) solution.

The proposed surveillance solution will be installed at Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) Pilbara accommodation villages and managed airports to provide the company:

* A deterrent against disturbances, damage, theft or other antisocial behaviour
* A tool for incident investigation
* Local and remote monitoring/access of live and recorded video
* A standards-based solution offering simplicity of operation and support.

The tender closes on January 11, 2019.
