Samsung Ezon Digital Locks From QVS

THERE are 3 primary products in the QVS Ezon lineup, the first we’ll look at is Samsung Ezon 5120 which has a sleek and slinky design to complement its excellent functionality. This digital door lock has a backlit touch keypad and comes with 4 key tags and 4 emergency keys.
Typically, entry is with a 5-12 digit password that can be reprogrammed at any time, or with a smart card which may be a credit card or any card that contains a smart chip with an identifier. There’s also an emergency mechanical key and an anti-panic exit system allows users to open the door by rotating the safety handle from inside the door.
Product features include high tech touch features, ESD resistance, intelligent arming, burglar alarm and fire detection sensor (the door opens when it detects internal temps of 60C, a safe button feature, automatic lock and relock function, adjustment to left hand and right hand, double locking and emergency external battery terminal.
The lock is powered by 8 AA batteries and offers a lifespan of just under a year when used ten times a day – typical for internal, small commercial or domestic applications.
Next in line is the Samsung SHS 6020 digital door lock which offers Ezon’s high level of safety along with an award winning design. The 5020 can be opened using one of up to 20 smartcards or with a password. There are also RF keytags and emergency mechanical keys. Another cool feature is that the 6020 can be integrated with a video intercom system so it can be opened from the inside using a release button.
Features of this classy digital lock include a backlit touch screen, a manual lock switch, a safety handle and handle lock, and double security random PINs for users. In the event an unauthorised PIN number is used, the locks will go into alarm and they also have a tamper function and will alarm if attacked by physical jarring. A heat sensor that operates from inside the house will automatically release the door when the temperature reaches 60C.
Cool for tough external applications is the fact the 6020 has a waterproof circuit board and can handle both high and low temperatures. The 6020 has a 70mm backset and it’s easy to install on typical doors. You also score a 24-month warranty.
The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries and operates and with 20 door entries per day, the batteries last approximately one year. There’s also audible and visual alert of low battery and a 9V battery to offer backup in the event of primary battery power failure. Further, if RF key tags or smartcards are lost, they can be easily disabled. Neat too, is the fact that if you install more than one 6020, the key tag or smart card can be registered on more than one lock.
Next comes the SHS 3120 Keyless Deadbolt. This is one very sweet-looking affordable deadbolt that can be used for the home or office. Besides looking very modern, it is also very low profile, with no protruding latch or keyhole. As it uses RF Keys instead of traditional tumbler keys, it is immune to key bumping.
It’s water and weather resistant, has a low profile with no latch or keyhole, has a built-in RFID reader and can support up to 70 user IDs.
This keypad unit can be operated in a matter of a couple of seconds. It auto-locks, so you never have to worry about locking the door after you leave. The keypad is also backlit for easy operation at night and internally.
