Siemens Puts Visiowave Into Ny Transit

UNDER terms of the agreement with NYC Transit’s Department of Subways, VisioWave will provide a significant portion of the security components and Siemens will install the equipment.

The proposed VisioWave solution is well suited to mass transit needs and has fulfilled 100 per cent of the technical requirements during the intensive and wide evaluation process.

VisioWave’s SDK (Software Development Kit), will ensure both investment and obsolescence protection. The components of the VisioWave security solution include video streaming and storage, which are processed by VisioWave Evolution HD and Storage HQI RAID units.

  

The VisioWave Evolution HD system chosen by the New York City Transit was initially designed for one of VisioWave’s customers RATP (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />Paris subway stations and buses) which is deployed over an ATM network.

VisioWave Video Operating System (VOS) and VisioWave Evolution HD is the enterprise solution of choice for security application requirements, especially those of the mass transit sector.
