The company
specialises in the manufacture, supply, installation, service and maintenance
of automated security products including high security cantilevered sliding
gates, swing gates, boom gates, turnstiles, and pedestrian gates for the
government and business sectors.
SNP Managing
Director, Tom Roche, says it was a strategic move to acquire Gated
Solutions extends SNP’s security services, which now include CCTV, access
control, perimeter fencing and gate security personnel and equipment, as well
as the gate hardware itself.

Australia,” says Roche.

as great a fit for our company as it is commercially, as Gated Solutions is

“Not only can we
now offer everything from manpower and electronic security to perimeter portal
solutions, but we also have the ability to manufacture specialised products for
specialty physical security needs.”
Gated Solutions’
products are especially suitable for mining and other critical infrastructure
projects, such as airports, prisons, power stations and embassies. Other
government buildings, water treatment plants, food manufacturers,
pharmaceutical companies, secure residential properties and commercial or
industrial developments will also benefit from the one-stop-shop security
solution that SNP and Gated Solutions now provide.
A large number of
SNP’s existing clients are already users of the products manufactured by Gated
Solutions, including the Harbour City project in Papua New Guinea. Gated
Solutions will operate partly as a stand-alone business, with relevant
operational aspects to be integrated with SNP.

acquisition of Gated Solutions is a strong move, as their products are recognised
in the Australian market as being a premium quality product, locally made and
locally supported with the ability to be installed anywhere nation-wide,” says
Roche.
SNP, which has
held the security contract for Sydney Airport for some 40 years, is the
country’s largest privately-owned security company and full service provider.
