Surex Wins Second Childcare Project – Surex Security is delivering the full electronic security scope for a new early learning centre in Corrimal, locking in its second ELC project of the year and adding to a growing run of commercial work heading into the back half of 2026.
Working alongside the construction team during the build, Surex will be responsible for end-to-end design and installation of the site’s intruder alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom and lift integration.
Given this is a greenfield site Surex will be able to get security solutions into the design early making for a more seamless physical installation. Security is an increasingly important element of childcare, with access control and video surveillance playing key roles in safety and security.
The $A975,000 Corrimal Childcare Centre is being delivered by Verity Construction. The centre will have 2-storeys with outdoor play areas across both levels, catering for up to 83 youngsters once complete.
According to Surex, early involvement is key to getting systems right from day one, particularly where multiple technologies — access, automation and surveillance — are integrated as a single operational solution.
