TP-Link VIGI Insight S485PI Business Camera – TP-Link is bringing a range of new cameras around Australia with SecTech Roadshow this May, including the new VIGI Insight S485PI Business Camera.
InSight S485PI is an 8MP IR panoramic turret network camera designed for comprehensive surveillance applications. The S485PI captures expansive scenes with a 180-degree panoramic view, supported by a 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution, delivering detailed images across wide areas. Integrated infrared illumination provides clear imaging up to 20 metres in darkness.
The camera incorporates red-blue warning lights, offering enhanced deterrence against intruders. Further augmenting security capabilities, the device includes advanced people and vehicle analytics, ensuring precise classification and rapid detection of humans and vehicles in monitored areas. Smart detection features cover intrusion, line-crossing, loitering, object abandonment, and abnormal sound detection, among others.
InSight S485PI is rated IP67 weatherproof and IK10 vandal-proof, with an operating temperature range from -30C to 60C ensuring durability in outdoor or high-risk settings. It also supports 2-way audio via built-in microphone and speaker, enabling communication or audible deterrence directly from the camera.
Optimized video compression technology includes H.265+ and H.264+, enhancing storage efficiency and bandwidth utilization. Dual streaming capabilities are standard, offering resolutions up to 4K at 30fps for primary streams and versatile lower resolutions for sub-streams. Bit rates are adjustable, with main streams ranging from 256Kbps to 8Mbps.
The Insight S485PI provides flexible angle adjustments with a manual pan range of 0 to 360 degrees, tilt from 0 to 75 degrees, and rotation of 0 to 360 degrees, ensuring optimal positioning and coverage. A fixed 1.65mm lens has an F2.0 aperture and offers 180-degree angles of view.
Connectivity options include an RJ45 self-adaptive Ethernet port supporting PoE (802.3at), alarm interfaces, audio in/out ports, and a microSD slot for local storage of up to 512 GB. Security protocols include password protection, HTTPS encryption, IP address filtering, and digest authentication, complying with ONVIF standards.
