Western NSW Local Health District Seeks Security Upgrades Including Access, Alarms, CCTV.

Western NSW Local Health District Seeks Security – Western NSW Local Health District has released a tender seeking a qualified contractor to undertake a security upgrade at Brewarrina and Lightning Ridge Multi-Purpose Health Services.

The scope in each location includes fencing works, access-controlled gates, fixed duress systems, and additional CCTV installations.

At Brewarrina, the project involves installing 2.4-metre-high black diplomat fencing, 1.8-metre-high Colorbond fencing, and relocating a portion of existing fencing and access-controlled sliding and PA gates. Meanwhile, Lightning Ridge will receive new 2.4-metre-high black diplomat fencing, a new sliding gate, and a new PA gate, also both fitted with access control.

Fixed duress alarms will be installed in all key worker staff accommodations across both sites, including Western NSW Local Health District and University of Sydney properties.

Each unit will include duress points in both bedroom and lounge areas. Additional CCTV cameras will be installed, and power supplies will be provided to support the gate systems and other security infrastructure.

The fixed duress and CCTV systems must integrate with the existing hospital infrastructure and be tested to confirm operational status. Works will be administered through a NSW Government Mini Minor or Minor Works contract, depending on the value of the final tender.

Attendance at mandatory site inspections is required prior to submitting a tender. Lightning Ridge Hospital will host an inspection on Tuesday 27 May 2025 from 4pm to 530pm, while Brewarrina Hospital will hold an inspection on Wednesday 28 May 2025 from 10am to 1130am. Vendors must confirm attendance at least 72 hours in advance.

Contractors must meet mandatory requirements, including current relevant licences, demonstrated experience with similar works, agreement to disclose modern slavery risk mitigation measures, and, where applicable, membership in the NSW Government’s construction scheme SCM0256 for works under $A1 million.

This Western NSW Local Health District Seeks Security tender closes on June 8 – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
