Zenitel ZDD-1 Video Intercom With 7-Inch Touch – Zenitel’s ZDD-1 is an IP video intercom with a 7-inch touch display designed for multi-tenant corporate buildings and other applications requiring integrated video and high-performance 2-way audio.
The ZDD-1 combines a 1280 x 768-pixel TFT LCD touchscreen with a 1080p camera, wide-angle optics, digital PTZ and a high-output audio system. The unit is IP66 weather-resistant and IK08 impact rated, allowing installation in exposed entrance environments as well as internal applications.
Video is provided by a 1/2.5-inch RGB CMOS sensor with an F2.2 fixed-iris lens and sensitivity down to 1 lux. Maximum resolution is 1440 x 1080 pixels at up to 30fps using H.264, while MJPEG is supported at up to 10fps. The camera provides a particularly wide 146-degree horizontal, 109-degree vertical and 180-degree diagonal field of view, along with digital PTZ and up to 4x digital zoom.
Audio performance is a significant element of the ZDD-1. The intercom incorporates 4 digital omnidirectional MEMS microphones and 4 x 4W internal speakers driven by a 4 x 4W Class D smart amplifier. Peak sound pressure level is 100dB at 0.5m. Audio processing includes full open duplex and switched open duplex operation, automatic gain control, automatic volume control, noise cancellation and sound level detection supporting scream alarms. G.711, G.722 and G.729 codecs are supported.
The 7-inch display has luminance of 930cd/m² and an 80-degree viewing angle from all sides. The ZDD-1 also incorporates a pulsed coherent radar sensor for presence detection and an ambient light sensor.
Network support includes SIP, SIPS, HTTP, HTTPS, RTP, SRTP, RTSP, DHCP, SNMP, NTP and ONVIF, with support for IPv4 and IPv6. Network access control uses IEEE 802.1X, while advanced supervision functions include keep-alive testing, tone testing and status reports. The ZDD-1 integrates with Zenitel Connect Pro through Zenitel Link and with ICX-AlphaCom using the AlphaCom ACDP protocol.
Hardware includes 2 RJ45 Ethernet connections, 3 configurable general inputs and outputs and a changeover relay with NO, NC and common connections rated at 2A and 60W. Power is provided by PoE++ using IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 Class 6, with maximum power consumption of 30W.
The ZDD-1 measures 281 x 176 x 44.5mm and weighs 1.7kg. Flush mounting reduces installed depth to 23.5mm, while installation with the optional on-wall box results in a depth of 48.5mm. Construction incorporates an ASA and glass faceplate, aluminium base/frame and ASA/PC electronics cover.
Operating temperature range is -25 to 55C, with relative humidity rated at less than 95 per cent non-condensing. Approvals and compliance include UL 62368-1, IEC 62368-1, IECEE CB, relevant EN EMC standards, FCC Part 15, RoHS and REACH.
