THE Security Industry Association (SIA) has named HALO IOT Smart Sensor – which detects everything from smoke to gunshots – as the 2019 Best New Product Award winner at the 2019 SIA New Product Showcase Awards.

“SIA congratulates IPVideo Corporation for standing out among the entries in this highly competitive program to earn the Best New Product distinction,” said SIA CEO, Don Erickson.

IPVideo Corporation, a leading manufacturer of audio/visual recording, passive weapons detections systems and IOT sensor technology, was selected as the 2019 winner of the Best New Product Award for its HALO IOT Smart Sensor and recognized on the main stage at ISC West, the nation’s largest converged security trade show, on April 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We are excited to announce that HALO, our multi-sensor IOT device, will provide security staff an elevated level of situational and environmental awareness that was not previously achievable.” IPVideo Corporation president, David Antar said.

A security device for privacy areas, HALO IOT Smart Sensor was introduced to help schools combat vaping, bullying and active shooter threats. With the addition of environmental sensors including air quality, advanced smoke detection, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and audio analytics such as glass break, gun shot and aggression detection, the HALO sensor has now expanded across verticals.

“Our safety product has 11 built in sensors working together into a single intelligent environmental monitoring platform to learn, analyze and create alerts designed to keep facilities safe,” said IPVideo Corporation’s vice president of product development, Frank Jacovino.

“In simplest of terms when you think about the senses, the HALO IOT Smart Sensor is the ears and nose when you can’t use your eyes.”
