Energy Solutions is seeking a security solution for Jemalong Solar Farm in the Central West of New South Wales.
The Jemalong Solar Project is a 50MWac, 60MWdc greenfield project located 35km south west of Forbes, around 150km west of Orange, in NSW. The site is 141ha spread across 2 parcels of land historically used for agricultural production. The site comprises a substation, solar panel array, internal access tracks and corridor for a 66kV powerline.
Genex Power has confirmed that construction works are underway at the 50MW Jemalong Solar Project in NSW, and the company expects there will be minimal impact due to Covid-19. Genex said it had confirmed with key equipment suppliers that the delivery of key components were for the most part unaffected by the wider disruption caused by Covid-19. Once operational, the Jemalong Solar Project is expected to generate up to 128,700MWh of electricity annually.
The key site components of the upgrade include 150,000 photovoltaic solar modules, operations and maintenance buildings with associated car parking, a substation containing transformers, associated switchgear and control and protection equipment, above ground and underground cabling, 20 containerized Power Conversion Units (PCUs), a meteorological station, a 66kV transmission line and security system and security fencing.
